Recently, IAT (Singapore) Technology Pte. Ltd. (IAT) and the Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in India, marking a key step in promoting technological innovation and market expansion in the soybean industry. The signing ceremony took place in a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere, with Kirubakaran Sivakumar, Country Sales Manager for India at IAT, and Mr. Pathak, Executive Director of SOPA, signing the landmark document in the presence of both teams. SK Lim, Director of IAT Asia Pacific, was also present at the ceremony, providing strong support and testimony to this promising partnership.
The Soybean Processors Association of India, popularly known as SOPA, is the only national level body in India representing the soybean processors, farmers, exporters and brokers in India working towards the aim to strengthen soybeans as a viable crop. The main objective of SOPA is to encourage the development and promotion of Soy-Based products in the interest of the farmers as well as traders and processors. The MoU signed between IAT and SOPA marks a significant milestone that will contribute to the growth and advancement of India’s soybean industry, fostering innovation and creating new opportunities for all stakeholders.
In recent years, the Indian soybean industry has shown a booming trend. With the rapid development of the soybean industry, the demand for soybean quality measuring, composition analysis and other aspects is also growing. Traditional measuring methods are not only time-consuming and laborious, but also difficult to meet the needs of large-scale, high-efficiency measuring, so the introduction of advanced measuring technology has become an urgent problem for the Indian soybean industry.
The IAS-5100 Portable NIR Analyzer is a highly efficient and accurate measuring tool developed by IAT, widely used in the grain and oil industry. Utilizing near-infrared spectroscopy technology, the instrument conducts non-destructive analysis of grain samples, obtaining reliable results for key parameters within a short period without requiring sample pretreatment. For soybeans, the IAS-5100 can measure important indicators such as protein content, oil content and moisture content. By accurately detecting these indicators, companies can optimize soybean procurement, processing, and formula design, thereby improving product quality and production efficiency.
Furthermore, the IAS-5100 boasts user-friendly features such as easy operation, one-button detection, and simultaneous output of multiple indicators. Its flexible mobility allows the instrument to be used in various settings, including laboratories and production sites, fulfilling enterprises' testing needs in different scenarios. These attributes make the IAS-5100 an ideal measuring tool for the Indian soybean industry.
Looking ahead, IAT and SOPA will continue to deepen their collaboration and unlock more opportunities for cooperation in various fields. Together, they will drive technological innovation and expand market reach within the soybean industry, contributing wisdom and strength to the prosperous development of India's soybean industry. The signing of this MOU not only lays a solid foundation for partnership between the two parties but also the beginning of a new chapter in the future development of the soybean industry as a whole.
